Preliminary
In these Terms and Conditions the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to MaletBooks. By
purchasing a book from us, the contract partner (“you”), engages in our service and agrees
to the following terms and conditions:

  • PayPal
  • iDeal

1. Our Store
Our store is hosted Mollie Payments. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform
that allows us to sell our books to you.

2. Price and Payment
All prices are inclusive of VAT, unless expressly stated otherwise. The shipping costs,
which we try to keep as low as possible, will be shown early in the payment process.
You undertake to pay the purchase price upon conclusion of the ordering process.
Payment shall be deemed to have been made only if the amount has been received in our
account.
We reserve the right at any time to modify the price if for whatever reason this is deemed
expedient or necessary. We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any
modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the service.

3. Delivery
Delivery of the book shall be effected by us after payment of the price (advance payment).
Unless otherwise indicated by you, delivery shall be made to the delivery address
specified by you during the ordering process.

4. Electronic invoicing
For the purpose of saving time and resources, invoices may be issued electronically and
as a rule sent to you by e-mail.

5. Delivery period
The usual delivery time stated below is a non-binding guideline:
Within the Netherlands: 3-5 working days
Within the EU: 5-10 working days
All other countries: 10-40 working days
Working days are all weekdays except Sundays and public holidays. The delivery period
begins one day after receipt of payment.

6. Delivery and transfer of risk
The books will be shipped with a Track and Trace code, which will be sent to you via
email. If the delivery does not take place within the above mentioned delivery period or if
the books are damaged during transport, you must immediately notify the shipping
company and claim the damage there. In the absence of an express written agreement to
the contrary, you shall bear the costs and the risk of transport for the delivery.
If an agreed delivery time cannot be met from our side due to force majeure or due to
circumstances which are our beyond our control, we shall be entitled to withdraw from our
fulfilment obligations in whole or in part. You will be informed of this immediately.

7. Data storage
The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. If you contact us via our
website or by e-mail, the data you provide will be stored by us for the purpose of
processing the enquiry in case of follow-up correspondence. Of course, we will not pass
on this data without your prior consent. In addition, the following data will be stored by us
for the purpose of processing your order: Name, address, e-mail address and telephone
number, if provided. The data provided by you are necessary for the fulfilment of the order.
As a matter of principle, no data is transferred to third parties. A necessary exception is the
transmission to the shipping company commissioned by us for the transport of the books.
The data from the contractual relationship will be stored until the
retention period under tax law (7 years) expires. If a purchasing process via the website
has not been completed, any data stored in this process will be deleted.
